The transition to higher education is a crucial developmental stage for 12th-grade students. However, many students still struggle to choose a major and university that align with their potential and interests. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of career planning information services in enhancing students’ understanding of higher education choices. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study consisted of 10 twelfth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Wanadadi who had participated in the service. The results indicate that the information services helped students understand various higher education pathways, admission criteria, and the connection between interests, talents, and study options. These findings suggest that structured and relevant information delivery encourages students to think more critically and make wiser educational choices. The study concludes that career planning information services play a vital role in guiding students in selecting their further studies. The implication is that these services need to be implemented systematically and continuously to support students' readiness in making educational decisions
