PENGARUH DISIPLIN KERJA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KINERJA PEGAWAI PADA KANTOR KECAMATAN PETIR KABUPATEN SERANG

Abstract

In improving employee performance, the role of work discipline is considered very important. Especially for employees of the Pet District Office of Serang Regency. This study uses a qualitative analytical descriptive method that is quantitatively used using the Simple Correlation Coefficient Formula or Product Moment Correlation with variable X (work discipline) with 5 indicators: 1) ability: 2) effort: and 3) obedience 4) obedience 5) rules. While the Y variable (Employee Performance Improvement) with 5 indicators, namely: 1) Increase in activities: 2) Increase in work achievements: 3) Increase in Time 4) Increase in Opportunities and 5) Increase in organizational goals. In addition, the number of population in this study includes functional officials and implementers in the Petir District, Serang Regency as many as 33 people and the sample in this study is the entire population in the study which amounted to 33 people with a total of 30 questionnaire questions, the location of the research is at the Petir District Office, Serang Regency, while the research was conducted from July 10, 2009 to October 30, 2009. Based on research at the Petir District Office, Serang Regency, it shows that the influence of work discipline on improving employee performance can be categorized as having a strong influence. Meanwhile, the strong influence of work discipline on improving employee performance was 66.54, the remaining 34.545 was influenced by other factors such as: factors such as: atmosphere or working condition situation, facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of work, awards received for the results of the work done and work motivation owned by the employees. This thesis is the result of a useful research as input for the Petir District Office, Serang Regency in terms of work discipline to improve employee performance. In order for discipline to run optimally, it is recommended that employees are able to be flexible and blend with other employees positively, so that when one employee makes a mistake, then other employees will remind because it is based on a sense of concern and the need for a high initiative from the employees of Petir District, Serang Regency itself, because the attitude and mentality of discipline must start from oneself. So that we are able to be pioneers in order to avoid all forms of prohibitions as employees in Petir District, Serang Regency
