Abstract

Government institutions have a very important role in providing political education for female legislative candidates, this recommendation is based on the fact that there is still limited knowledge for female legislative candidates on how to become reliable female politicians. Efforts to increase knowledge can be done in many ways, and the path chosen by the government is to create a Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) which is accommodated in the form of an Agency, or Office. In this study, the researcher highlighted the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) called the Banten Provincial Women's and Village Community Empowerment Agency (BPPMD). The objectives of this study are: first, to understand and analyze the course of the Coordination, Advocacy, Facilitation, Socialization, and Evaluation mechanism carried out by BPPMD for female candidates; second, to discuss and analyze the extent of the efforts that have been made by BPPMD in carrying out its efforts, especially those related to political education for female candidates in Banten Province. The theory used by the researcher in conducting this research is the Theory of Political Education Institutions, while the research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to analysis. The use of this qualitative method is acknowledged that this method has advantages in understanding a phenomenon about what the research subject experiences such as behavior, perception, motivation, and action holistically. Political education carried out by BPPMD, especially in the field of improving the quality of women's life (PKHP) consists of breakthrough actions that include aspects of Coordination, Advocacy, Facilitation, Socialization and Evaluation which is abbreviated as KAFSE. Through this breakthrough action, BPPMD aspires to improve the quality of female candidates in Banten Province. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the researcher concludes that improving the quality of female candidates is not an easy job and can be done in a short time, but it is a long and sustainable process. This effort is also the responsibility of all parties, both the Government, Political Parties, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Religious and Community Organizations. BPPMD is very committed to ensuring that there are funds from the State Budget allocated to improve the quality of life of women (Gender budgeting). However, it must still be realized that there are still limitations in various matters, so that to achieve optimal results in accordance with the available facilities, infrastructure, and costs and even to achieve measurable targets and objectives is very difficult to do
