Abstract

Aging is an unavoidable process in life. This natural process will be experienced by every living thing. Elderly is synonymous with a decrease in several functions of the body's organs, and will automatically reduce daily activities. Elderly are parents who have entered old age who need attention from others. As a child, it is appropriate to repay parents in their old age. This study aims to explain and analyze the arrangement of legal sanctions for children who abandoning elderly parents in Islamic Law. the condition of the elderly today is changing drastically in Caring for and looking after parents when twilight comes. By using descriptive qualitative methods, researchers look for the causes of the fading of children's respect and care for their parents when parents are powerless, many children abandon their parents and even children have the heart to throw away their parents. This study uses the theory of social change (Sociology) related to activities and detachment or withdrawal from social life. Several data collection techniques are used by researchers, starting from observation, direct and indirect interviews, to searching for literacy in libraries, social media, news in electronic media, and other sources. Researchers use the Theory of Aging with 5 major groups ranging from biological, psychological, social, psychological and genetic errors. This research produces an analysis in the form of the conclusion that circumstances have changed and are different, where a child no longer respects the existence of parents who are considered to be life-threatening, they dump their parents because they are seen as an obstacle in pursuing a career, they are ashamed of their parents' poverty, they try to cover up the real situation
