ANALISIS FENOMENA GOLONGAN PUTIH PADA PEMILIHAN KEPALA DAERAH 2024

Abstract

The increasing number of White Groups (Golput) in the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) is a serious concern in maintaining the health of democracy in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the causes of the Golput phenomenon in the Regional Elections with a holistic approach. This study uses a qualitative research method, with data collection techniques using various scientific reference information from primary and secondary sources through documents relevant to the research study. The results of the study show that political apathy and rational choices of voters are the cause of the increase in the number of Golput Pilkada. Therefore, more effective strategies are needed to increase political awareness and ensure that every citizen exercises his or her right to vote in the upcoming elections
