To overcome these challenges, improvements in human resource capacity, adequate infrastructure investment, and policies that support technological innovation are needed.
The government's policy on the transfer of 3-kilogram (kg) LPG gas subsidies is one of the strategic steps taken to reduce the burden on the state budget while encouraging national economic sustainability. However, this policy has caused various social and economic impacts, both for the subsidy recipient community and the economic sector as a whole. The purpose of this study is to analyze the social and economic impacts of the 3 kg LPG gas subsidy transfer policy in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data were collected through interviews with relevant parties, field observations, and literature review. The results show that although this policy aims to improve the efficiency of the use of the state budget, its impact on the poor is quite significant, with increased living costs and difficulties in accessing affordable household energy. On the other hand, this policy also has a positive impact on the distribution of more targeted subsidies. From an economic perspective, this policy can have a long-term impact on economic growth if balanced with improvements in the quality of energy infrastructure and other supporting policies. This study suggests the need for strict supervision of policy implementation as well as the provision of cheaper and more affordable energy alternatives for the community
Eli Apud SaepudinGatot HartokoTry Adhi BangsawanRizki AmiliaDede Qodrat Alwajir
