Risk management in regional asset management plays a strategic role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of government resource management. This study aims to identify, analyze, and evaluate risks in the management of regional assets within the Local Government of Serang City. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the main risks in regional asset management include inaccurate asset data, procedural non-compliance, and potential asset misuse. To address these risks, the Serang City Government has implemented several mitigation measures, such as updating the inventory system with information technology, conducting human resource training, and strengthening internal control systems.
The proposal to relocate Indonesia’s capital city to Palangkaraya has re-emerged as a strategic discourse linked to equitable development, disaster-risk mitigation, and improved government administration. From a public policy perspective, this initiative requires a comprehensive policy formulation process that includes problem identification, evaluation of alternative solutions, and assessment of social, economic, and environmental impacts. A crucial factor influencing the success of the capital relocation policy is the government’s strategic communication management. Effective communication must be transparent, participatory, and data-driven to enhance public understanding and reduce potential social resistance. Through well-designed communication strategies, the government can articulate the urgency and benefits of the relocation, clarify implementation phases, and accommodate feedback from citizens and local authorities. This study emphasizes the importance of structured communication planning through stakeholder mapping, selection of appropriate communication channels, and effective issue and narrative management. With a strategic communication approach, the policy to move the capital to Palangkaraya is more likely to gain stronger legitimacy and broader public support. Ultimately, the effectiveness of the policy depends on how well the government’s communication strategy builds public trust and ensures that the transition process is inclusive, accountable, and sustainable
Mega Oktaviawati

The implementation of good governance in public asset management is an important effort to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the management of state-owned assets. In this context, good governance refers to the principles of good governance, such as transparency, participation, accountability, and effectiveness and efficiency. Public asset management in accordance with the principles of good governance can ensure that state assets are used optimally for the benefit of the community, and can prevent abuse and corruption. This study aims to analyze the implementation of good governance principles in public asset management, identify factors that influence its success, and examine the challenges faced in the process. Based on this research, it was found that the implementation of good governance in public asset management can improve the quality of public services, improve asset monitoring and control systems, and increase public trust in the government. However, there are obstacles such as limited resources, resistance to change, and limited technology that can hinder full implementation. Recommendations from this study include increasing human resource capacity, adopting technology, and improving inter-agency coordination to support the effective implementation of good governance in public asset management
Anandya Rahayu NingsihSapna AzzahraMutiara Eka

https://ejournal.lppmbinabangsa.ac.id/index.php/jppsg/article/view/301

The 2024 regional election in Banten once again highlights the persistent issue of political dynasties that has long shaped the region’s electoral landscape. The emergence of candidates with close familial ties to previous political leaders demonstrates that dynastic practices remain deeply embedded within local power structures. This phenomenon not only reflects the continuity of political networks but also intensifies public dramatization of democracy’s dilemma: the tension between the constitutional right of every citizen to run for office and the growing concern over the concentration of power within specific family circles. Media coverage and online public discourse further amplify this dramatization, raising questions about integrity, voter objectivity, and the potential weakening of democratic checks and balances. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study examines the construction of public narratives, community perceptions, and the broader implications of political dynasties for the quality of local democracy. The findings indicate that, although political dynasties do not inherently violate electoral regulations, they tend to create asymmetrical competition, hinder leadership regeneration, and erode public trust in democratic processes. Consequently, the 2024 Banten election serves as a critical reflection point for assessing the evolving dynamics of Indonesia’s local democratic practices
Luis Fiska Rahayu

This study examines the Berkeley Mafia phenomenon as a nationalist-neoliberal group that had a significant influence on the dynamics of Indonesian economic policy during the New Order era. The main problem lies in the dominance of technocrats graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in the formulation of economic policies oriented towards stabilization and liberalization, thus giving rise to debates regarding economic sovereignty and dependence on international institutions. The theoretical framework used includes elite theory, developmental state theory, and the neoliberal approach to public policy. The research method uses a library study with a historical-political analysis of documents, archives, and academic literature related to New Order economic policies. The results show that the Berkeley Mafia played a significant role in formulating macroeconomic policies that emphasized fiscal stability, deregulation, and global economic integration. Their success in controlling inflation and attracting foreign investment is recognized, but these policies are also considered to have reinforced structural inequality and economic dependency. In conclusion, the influence of the Berkeley Mafia reflects the tension between the interests of economic nationalism and the neoliberal agenda, which formed a crucial foundation for the direction of Indonesia's economic development during the New Order era and a policy legacy that is still felt today
Athaullah DzakyRizki MaharaniNaura FadilahShella Levina MargaretaChairunisa Depa Kartika
