A structure is in equilibrium because reaction forces arise at the points of attachment or support of the structure to balance the external forces acting on it. There are many possible ways to select structural support or placement. For analytical purposes, bond terms may be repulsive and free of translation or rotation, even in certain directions. The structure will also be stable if the structure is placed on a good foundation. The opposing force generated by the foundation is a settlement reaction force. External forces consist of loads (active forces) and reactive bearing forces (reactive forces) which create stability or balance in a structure. Force itself is a force that can move a stationary object. Force is usually expressed as a directional quantity and expressed as a vector. A force that acts in the same direction as the plane/path it passes through is called a line of force. Thin points of the model can be moved along the working lines of the model. When an object is given a force or lifted, pulled or pushed, then resistance arises against that force and that resistance is called "reaction". The magnitude of the reaction is equal to the magnitude of the force (effect) generated
