Based on data from the ministry of manpower as of April 7,2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there were 39,977companies in the formal sector that chose to lay off and lay of their workers. This research uses qualitative methods and horizontal analysis.The data processed using a formula that has been adjusted to the needs, then presented to obtain results related to differences in financial performance that occurred before and after the Covid-19 pandemic phenomenon at PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. Based on the results of data processing shows that there is a significant decrease in the Liquidity Ratio, which is 29.5%, an increase of 25.2% in the Solvency Ratio, a decrease of 68.7% in the Activity Ratio, and a very significant decrease in the Profitability Ratio of 222.2% which caused considerable losses to the company
